The Lord's Prayer

Because Everyone Needs Prayer

The Lord's Prayer could be called the most important of all Christian prayers, and it is certainly the most well known.

Spoken by Jesus, it first appears in Matthew 6:9-13 as Jesus concludes his Sermon on the Mount, and later appears in Luke 11:2-4.

The following is a standard version of The Lord's Prayer.

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be your name,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
On earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial,
And deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours,
Now and forever. Amen.
